EUROPEAN RED OAK
Native in central and Southern Europe for more than 200 years. This is also the most frequent specie of oak in North America.
The colour is lightly reddish to dark red. Compared to white oak it is considerably larger in diameter and cleaner.
Red oak is particularly clean inside even with small external defects.
The quantity of this specie isn’t huge in Belgium but the quality is generally good.
